Do you offer a free trial?
Yes, we have two options:
- The API evaluation includes 75 free requests for selected countries. Our Sandbox API is free for unlimited use while you are developing.
- Our Widgets are a quicker option for the more common project types. Contact us if you’d like to try our widgets on your website.
Why doesn’t my API request work?
If you are unable to get our API to work, please refer to this page for developers.
Does the API allow me to select seats and buy tickets?
The API provides deep links for showtimes – direct to the cinema websites with the movie, date, time and location pre-selected, where your end user can purchase tickets.
However, the API does not support seat selection, or payments – you must do this on the cinema’s own website.
If you wish to integrate directly with a cinema, you will need to contact the cinema directly.
I have run out of evaluation requests, what can I do?

Please note, we are unable to provide additional free API requests for student or personal projects.
Do you offer a discount for startups and students?
While we offer competive pricing for startups wanting to use MovieGlu for their commercial products, unfortunately we do not offer a discount for students.
Why is there a charge for the APIs?
The MovieGlu APIs include showtimes for every cinema in over 90 countries. Collecting all that data, and making it available in a fast and reliable manner requires an around-the-clock effort from our team and partners. The data may be free from other places like Google, but if you want accurate, reliable, correctly licensed data for your project, that does come at a cost.
