Do you offer a free trial?
Yes, we have two options:
- The API comes with 75 free requests for selected countries. Our Sandbox API is free for unlimited use while you are developing.
- Our Widgets will save you time when implementing common projects – Please complete our pricing form for details on how to try the widgets for free.

Why doesn’t my API request work?
If you are unable to get our API to work, please refer to our troubleshooting page.
Does the API allow me to select seats and buy tickets?
Our API provides deep links for showtimes – direct to the cinema websites with the movie, date, time and location pre-selected.
However the API does not support seat selection, or payments – you must do this on the cinema’s own website.
If you wish to integrate directly with a cinema, you will need to contact the cinema directly.
I have run out of evaluation requests, what can I do?
Firstly, we recommend you try our Unlimited Sandbox environment, details of which are in the same email as your country-specific API key.
If you are building a project for your own business or for a customer, please complete our pricing form so that we can understand your project in more detail.
Unfortunately we do not provide additional evaluation requests for students, education or personal projects – please use the Sandbox environment.
Do you offer a discount for startups and students?
While we offer competive pricing for startups wanting to use MovieGlu for their commercial products, unfortunately we do not offer a discount for students.
Why is there a charge for your APIs?
The MovieGlu APIs include showtimes for every cinema in over 90 countries. Collecting all that data, and making it available in a fast and reliable manner requires an around-the-clock effort from our team and partners. The data may be free from other places like Google, but if you want accurate, reliable, correctly licensed data for your project, that does come at a cost.
